Paris Hilton's Voluminous Bun

Paris Hilton (Getty) Paris Hilton's retro-inspired 'do at the Red Cross' Annual Red Tie Affair was an ultra-glamorous option, especially when paired with sparkly chandelier earrings. Below I've included nine easy steps for recreating her look along with a video found on youtube featuring a similar DIY style.

1. Section out bangs or a four-inch swath of hair along the front hairline.

2. Draw the rest of the hair up and secure it in a high ponytail.

3. To get the most volume, slip a hair donut over the ponytail and secure it around the hair elastic at the base.

4. Backcomb the ponytail thoroughly.

5. If you're using a hair donut, begin by taking one or two-inch sections, smoothing tresses slightly, wrapping them around portions of donut and pinning them into place.

6. Work your way around the donut, smoothing, wrapping and pinning hair section by section until the donut is entirely covered.

7. If you're not using a donut, you'll still take one or two-inch sections from the backcombed ponytail, loop them over! to camo uflage the ends near the base of the ponytail and pin them in place. Continue working section by section around the base of the ponytail until the bun has been for formed.

8. Once the bun has been created, style bangs or sweep longer sections off to the sides, wrapping them around the head and pinning the ends in place along the underside of the bun.

9. Complete the look by misting with a healthy dose of hairspray.
