Samantha Ronson: 'Paris Hilton is insulting other DJs'

Samantha Ronson has criticised Paris Hilton's recent attempts at becoming a DJ.

Hilton, who is rumoured to be dating Afrojack, made her DJ debut in Brazil last month and later said that she "could not be happier" with the crowd's response.

However, Ronson - who has been working as a DJ for some time - has now criticised Hilton's move into the industry.

"Just that whole s**t with her is just like, 'Oh, come on man'," she told TMZ. "She's tried everything now. You should put some quality behind the s**t that you do. Put some effort into it."

Ronson said that Hilton could get respect as a DJ if she was "an actual DJ" and explained that breaking into the field requires a lot of hard work.

"If you do the work, your work will speak for itself," she said. "If you're just going to be like, 'Oh, I'm going to figure out how I can make some money this week', it just insults the people that really work really hard at it."

Ronson concluded: "It's like me calling myself a doctor from reading WebMD twice."
