Jon Hamm, the Golden Globe-winning star of Mad Men, said in a new interview that he simply does not understand the success of reality television stars, specifically Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton. He says in the April issue of Elle UK Magazine that their success only serves to show how idiots are celebrated in todays culture.

Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated...Being a f***ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly, he told the magazine, according to the Daily Mail. He adds that their success simply doesnt make any sense to him.

Hamm even questioned todays societys image of what is sexy. He says that curvy women, much like his co-star Christina Hendricks, should be considered beautiful instead of skinny blondes.

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, the 40-year-old actor is not the only celebrity to wonder why Kardashian is so popular. In a blunt interview with The Huffington Post, Moneyball actor Jonah Hill said, The fact that the Kardashians could be more popular than a show like Mad Men is disgusting...It's a super disgusting part of our culture, but I still find it funny to make a joke about it. Whenever I say I like reality TV, people write about it like they're in shock. I can't even understand it, so I watch it.

Access Hollywood reports that The Girl with the Dra! gon Tatt oo actor Daniel Craig was also critical. He said that when you see how much money the Kardashians make, ...you think, What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a [expletive] idiot on television and then youll pay me millions?

Hamms interview comes just weeks ahead of the fifth season premiere of Mad Men, which starts on March 25. He also stars in the new film Friends with Kids.
