Paris Hilton's brother crashes into two parked cars in Brentwood, leaves scene

BRENTWOOD - A car driven Conrad Hilton III, the 17-year-old brother of Paris Hilton, crashed into two parked vehicles on a Brentwood street today and was left immobile blocking a driveway, a police sergeant said.

Hilton's car struck the two vehicles about 12:50 a.m. in the 700 block of Beloit Avenue, said Los Angeles police Sgt. O.C. Smith of the West Traffic Division.

His car was left in a driveway of a house, just southwest of the Sunset Boulevard interchange with the San Diego (405) Freeway.

"He left his information (registration and identification) with the owner of the second vehicle and a witness before leaving the scene," Smith said.

Part of that identification included a copy of his birth certificate. Smith said it was not clear to him why Hilton had a copy of his birth certificate with him, or whether Hilton left the scene on foot or was driven.

Smith did not release the make or model of Hilton's car, which was eventually towed away.

"He (Hilton) complied with the law," Smith said. "If you're involved in a traffic collision and no one is injured, you're required to exchange information..

"You're then free to leave," the sergeant said.
