Paris Hilton TV Special Pulled Due to Anti-Gay Comments

(PacificCoastNews.com)Turns out Paris Hilton's anti-gay comments will cost her more than just a tarnished reputation. She's also losing her own TV special.

The New York Post reports Logo, the gay-oriented cable channel, has pulled a Hilton-based documentary originally set to air Wednesday morning. The decision comes less than a month after the socialite was recorded (while riding in a New York City cab) calling gays "disgusting" people who all "probably have AIDS." Hilton's reps had nothing to say when asked to comment on Logo's move.

Hilton has apologized profusely for her comments. "I am so sorry and so upset that I caused pain to my gay friends, fans and their families," she said in the statement posted on GLAAD's website. "Gay people are the strongest and most inspiring people I know." The socialite also tweeted an apology to her more than eight million followers.

But despite Hilton's best attempt at damage control, it appears Logo wasn't comfortable airing the documentary. And considering the channel is available in over 40 million homes, that's a lot of lost exposure for a woman who's built her entire career around brand awareness.
