The toast of Tinseltown was out in force tonight to walk the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards.

And some of the stars decided that metallic dresses were the way forward for the evening.

Paris Hilton chose a sequined charcoal frock with silver embellishment, which showed off her slim frame.

And Twilight star Nikki Reed went for a shimmering Flapper style gold dress and matching peep toe pumps.

Paris posed up on the red carpet with her sister Nicky, who sported an interesting strapless grey dress, displaying her slender pins.

Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham offered some sex appeal in a plunging black dress which also boasted a saucy thigh high split up one side.

And Teen Wolf star Holland Roden looked quite the screen siren with her soft waves, scarlet lipstick and form fitting red patterned mini dress, while her co-star Crystal Reed chose a shimmering printed number.

Victoria Justice was summery in a clourblock frock while The Lying Games Kirsten Prout sported a cut out cream dress.

Celebrity siblings Booboo and Fivel Stewart showed up together, with Booboo teaming a black blazer with matching T-shirt and jeans and Fivel contrasting in a white frock.

Meanwhile Brooke Hogan dared to bare in a skimpy silver mini dress with a cut-out panel across her tanned stomach.

Julia Jones lit up the red carpet in a neon frock while Kelsey Grammer's daughter Greer was also colourful in a blue dress with pink accessories, and Ellie Kemper opted for clorals.
